How it works
A day, a week, two levels and the year, in brief.
A day
The Reading
A written lesson on the day's Bible event, set in its world-history context.
Ten subjects
Built from that day's reading, in the same order every day.
Points for each subject
Each day is worth 220 points and each week 1,100 points.
| Subject | Points |
|---|---|
| Bible | 30 |
| History | 20 |
| Geography | 20 |
| Vocabulary | 20 |
| Spelling | 15 |
| Math | 25 |
| Science | 20 |
| English | 20 |
| Writing | 30 |
| Philosophy | 20 |
| Day total | 220 |
Two levels
Ages 13–14
The core work each day. Advanced Enrichment is optional.
Ages 15–16
The core, plus Advanced Enrichment in at least three subjects a day, chosen by the parent. Advanced work is scored separately, 0–4 per question, with a rubric in the answer key.
Maps every day
Geography gives three views of the day's places: a labelled reference map, a line map the student completes, and the completed map in the answer key.
Math
Math follows a planned sequence across the course, starting with pre-algebra in Week 1.
Scripture
Bible quotations are from the World English Bible (WEB), a modern English translation in the public domain that uses the name Yahweh, apart from a few words from older versions quoted for comparison.
The year
The full course is planned as 36 weeks and 180 school days, from Creation to the world at the birth of Christ. Week 1 comes first. There is one student workbook for each week, and a separate black-and-white answer key.
